Dear Graduand
Congratulations on completing this leg of your academic journey at the Edna Manley College of the Visual and Performing Arts!
We hope that you will celebrate this accomplishment by being a part of the annual Graduation ceremony scheduled for November 28, 2026 @ 2:00 p.m. at National Indoor Sports Centre, National Arena, 6 Arthur Wint Drive.
Kindly see below information regarding the requirements of applying for Graduation. Each
Graduand is required to complete and submit the “Graduation Registration Form” by Friday, October 30, 2026.
Please ensure that you indicate on your form if you plan to attend the
ceremony or not. The completed from may be submitted by email to registry@emc.edu.jm or to the Office of the Registrar at 1 Arthur Wint Drive.

Eligibility for Degree
Each student must successfully complete the requirements for his/her programme of study to be eligible to receive their degree/certificate.
Students who successfully completed all the requirements for their programme on June 30, 2026, will receive their degree/certificate immediately following the conclusion of the graduation ceremony.
Students who will be completing their degree requirements at the end of Semester One 2026 will be granted permission to participate in the graduation ceremony. However, their degree/certificate will be available for collection in 2027 pending successful ratification of all grades.
Registration & Graduation Fee
October 1-30, 2026 Mondays-Fridays 8:30am – 4:00pm
Each Graduand must complete and submit the Graduation Registration Form no later Friday, October 30, 2026. For Graduands participating in the Graduation ceremony, the Graduation Fee of J$35,000 must be paid no later than October 30, 2026, to ensure you receive invitations for your Guests to attend the graduation ceremony.
Graduands who have outstanding balances will be asked to pay these balances in addition to the Graduation Fee to be eligible to participate in the graduation ceremony. Fees may be paid by Credit Card (Visa/MasterCard/Keycard) or cash at the Finance & Accounts Department at any NCB Branch into the Edna Manley College Account.
Proof of payment for Graduation Fee and Statement of Account from the Finance & Accounts Department showing zero balance must be submitted to the Registry Department to collect your Graduation Invitations.

Graduation Photoshoot

Venue: Edna Manley College (Library Reference Area)
Time: 10:00 am – 4:00 pm
Cost: $7000
Collection of Invitations
Date: November 10-14, 2026
Venue: Registry Department
Time 10:00 am – 4:00 pm
Honours’ Award Ceremony
Date: Thursday, November 26, 2026
Venue: Vera Moody Concert Hall
Time: 6:00 pm
Graduation Rehearsal
Date: Friday, November 27, 2026
Venue: Vera Moody Concert Hall
Time: 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm
Graduation Day
Date: Saturday, November 28, 2026
Venue: National Indoor Sports Centre
Time: 2:00 pm
Graduands must arrive dressed in their graduation regalia at the location (National
Indoor Sports Centre) by 12:00noon
Photographs
The official photographer assigned to the College is Bryan Studios Limited. Photo sessions will be held on campus on Wednesday, November 11 from 10:00am – 4:00pm. Only students who submit their Graduation Registration Form to the Registry will be allowed to take photos. (See enclosed Photo flyer for more details).
THE COST OF $7,000.00 FOR THE PHOTO PACKAGE IS TO BE PAID DIRECTLY TO THE PHOTOGRAPHER ON TH DAY OF THE PHOTOSHOOT.
Please ensure that you wear the correct hood when you are taking your pictures.
Dress Code for Graduands
Females are to wear White or off- white dress of a simple design. Headgear and elaborate accessories are not appropriate.
Males are to wear Dark suit or dark pants with white shirt and dark necktie along with matching dark shoes.
Rehearsals
Dress Rehearsal will be held on Friday, November 27, 2026 @ 1:00pm at National Indoor Sports Centre.
Hood Colour Scheme
Please ensure that you wear the correct hood when you are taking your pictures.
Degrees / Diplomas / Certificates
“Dummy” Degrees/Diplomas/Certificates will be handed out during the Ceremony. This is to ensure that Graduates receive their correct Degrees/Diplomas/Certificates, and that gowns are returned at the end of the ceremony. Please note that only students in good financial standing with the College will be issued Degrees/Diplomas/Certificates. Certificates may be collected after the ceremony in the Registry department.
Guest Information – Arrival & Seating
- Guests must present an invitation to be admitted to the ceremony.
- Guests must be seated 30 minutes before the start of the ceremony.
- Guests must park in the designated parking areas.
Return of Gowns
Gowns must be returned immediately to the Dressing Room after the recessional.
Student Instructions for the Ceremony
- Graduands do not need invitations to participate in the ceremony
- Graduands must arrive at the venue by 12:00noon
- Upon arrival Graduands must report to the Holding Area
- Graduands will assemble by School and Programme of Study for the Procession
- Graduands must follow the directions given by the assigned Graduation Marshalls
- The ceremony will begin promptly at 2:00 p.m.
- Family members ARE NOT allowed in the Dressing Room
- Graduands are required to wear the Gown with appropriate Hood provided by the College.
- Tassels are to be worn on the right side of the Cap. Once the degree is conferred, the tassels are moved to the left side.

**Graduates NOT participating in the ceremony may purchase the following items from the Registry:
