I remember being at an award ceremony held by Gaynstead high School. During the ceremony they had several items ; these were done by the dance group, Spanish group and the school choir. Also the student of the different grades received their awards and I noticed that no one was taking photographs of any of this. Those important aspect of the school's history and that story is lost and their came the birth of the XpressArt Photography Club.

The XpressArt Photography Club is located at Gaynstead High School at 1-3 Central Avenue Kingston 5. The Club is held on Wednesdays from 1:30 pm - 2:30 pm in the 11:50 classroom.

The club aims to teach students the importance of photojournalism as well as how they can use it as a tool for preserving history. In the club students will learn how to do Visual Documentations; how to tell stories using photographs. The club will be supportive of all the events held by the school and hope to document them as best as possible.
