Edna Manley College of the Visual and Performing Arts Athletics offers 42 Division I intercollegiate varsity teams for women and men—more than any other Division I college—as well as numerous club/intramural sports and recreational activities. More than 80 percent of our students participate in some form of athletic activity.

  • Varsity teams include baseball, basketball, crew, cross-country, fencing, field hockey, football, golf, ice hockey, lacrosse, rugby, sailing, skiing, soccer, softball, squash, swimming and diving, tennis, track and field, volleyball, water polo, and wrestling.
  • Club teams include aikido, archery, badminton, ballroom dance, basketball, bodybuilding, bowling, boxing, cheerleading, Crimson Dance, cycling, fencing, figure skating, hapkido, juggling, jujitsu, kendo, lacrosse, polo, rugby, Shaolin kempo, Shotokan karate, skiing, soccer, table tennis, tae kwon do, tai chi/kung fu, tennis, ultimate Frisbee, volleyball, and wushu.


Edna Manley College of the Visual and Performing Arts sponsors more than 50 cultural, ethnic, and international organizations, as well as groups representing nearly every religion and political belief.

The Edna Manley College of the Visual and Performing Arts Foundation for Intercultural and Race Relations hosts many activities throughout the year that celebrate campus ethnic and cultural diversity. One of the most anticipated celebrations is “Cultural Rhythms,” a festival showcasing student performances and ethnic cuisine from more than 30 clubs and organizations.
