The School of Drama exposes students to various creative techniques unique to the Caribbean while embracing classical theatre training through an empowering academic curriculum and conservatory training steeped in the rich cultural traditions of the Caribbean. Students are trained in theatre arts including acting, directing, stage management and set design and drama education.

The School of Drama programmes are delivered in a creative and reflective environment which challenges students to question societal norms and equip them with the skills to engage the world creatively and professionally through drama.

Programme Overview

The School of Dance offers a number of Bachelor, Associate and Certificate programmes:
Bachelor of Arts in Drama Education (4 years)
Bachelor of Arts // Theatre Arts (Acting Track)
Bachelor of Arts in Drama – EMCVPA and UWI
Associate of Arts (AA) in Theatre Arts
Minor – Drama in Education
Minor – Theatre Arts

Part-time Programme Overview

BFA Theatre Arts Degree Completion Programme
The programme serves as a one-year (three semester) intensive part-time route for graduates who would have completed the Diplomain Theatre Arts and seeking at this time to upgrade their skills and certification in their particular field.
4 Years: 133 Credits.

BA Drama In Education Completion Programme
The programme serves as a one-year (three semester) intensive part-time route for graduates who would have completed the Diploma in drama in Education and seeking at this time to upgrade their skills and certification in their particular field.
4 Years: 133 Credits.
